Best Available Technology unleashes a new side to his dilapidated, tape-crunched sound with "Bulldozer Rituals", an all-analog experiment in early NYC hip hop acrobatics. Recorded live at his Portland studio, BAT has laid the groundwork for only the most daring of MCs to spit over with this instrumental, heaving production.
Accompanying the single prior to the release of BAT's full BASH004 EP, Styles Upon Styles artist and NYC Bunker affiliate Clay Wilson offers up a driving remix of "Bulldozer Rituals" that features fluid, acid-flecked techno spiked with hints of Detroit electro. In the same vein as BAT's hardware excursion, Clay's remix was recorded with vintage drum machines and outboard gear to devastating effect.
Debut solo EP from Hylu of the Unit 137 sound crew; deconstructed jungle rhythms co-mingle with instrumental hip-hop and dub grooves.
